The following links provide access to information for the Emigrants to Liberia between 1820 and 1843 data, as well as the 1843 Liberian Census Data. The data represent individuals who were brought to the colony by the American Colonization Society.

Emigrants to Liberia between 1820 and 1843 data
Variables include place of origin, place of arrival, status of individual, level of literacy, occupation, date of death, cause of death, and name of the ship which carried the emigrant to Liberia.


1843 Liberian Census Data.
Variables include age, number of members in family, date of arrival in the colony, connections in the colony, occupation, education, health, family status and place of settlement.
