Download Documentation Files

The American Catholic Priesthood Survey, 1971 has multiple documentation files. This is due to the survey including both active priests as well as resignee priests. All files are available in PDF format.

One compressed file (approximately 13 Mb) expands to 7 Files (approximately 14 Mb).

Download priestdoc.exe for a single download of all the documentation in DOS self-extracting zip format. Save the file to the directory of your choice on your computer, then run the file to uncompress it.

To view components of the documentation as single PDF files:

Active Priests Questionnaire (Right-click and select "save" to download -- 4,764 KB).

Active Priests Codebook (Right-click and select "save" to download -- 1,939 KB).

Resignee Priests Questionnaire (Right-click and select "save" to download -- 3,511 KB).

Resignee Priests Codebook (Right-click and select "save" to download -- 2,446 KB).

Users can also view or download the PSU's (Primary Sampling Unit) for the study. The PSU file is 200 KB.
